What we do at Vanguard Properties could be summed up thus: delivering real estate projects we devise, while aiming to exceed our clients' expectations. Although comparatively less complex than those we usually undertake, we view and approach Portico like any other endeavour.
As an important part of our institutional strategy, the magazine mirrors the values that govern what we do and what we consider fundamental to our broad role in society. As such, we see it as a reflection of our positioning and our commitment to everything we do.
After a very positive reaction to the first issue, and because at Vanguard Properties there's nothing we like more than a proper challenge, we decided that this second issue should continue to surprise.
There are two ways of doing a magazine: by content or form. In terms of content, we adhered to the concept initially defined, which alludes to the architectural feature we chose for the title. Portico is a place of welcome, where a wide variety of people and projects come together. This can also be said of present-day Portugal, whose greatest vocation is perhaps its openness to others.
In terms of form, in addition to Silvadesigners' creative and refreshing work, let us draw your attention to the cover (in truth, three covers). Like the first issue, when placed side by side, the magazines depict an artwork, this time made specifically by the artist Joana Vasconcelos, which will undoubtedly please those who enjoy collecting.
Finally, the pandemic period appears to be over and, contrary to some pessimistic forecasts, Portugal continues to be a popular destination with international visitors. Fortune favours the bold.
